Saint Clements Annual Sports Banquet

Friday evening, Saint Clements Junior/ Senior High-School hosted its Annual Sports Banquet to honor the accomplishments of their student athletes with a dinner and an awards ceremony.

The packed banquet hall was set up in the school’s gymnasium for the event with over two hundred attendees complete with a full buffet, table seating, and a stage platform.

Pete Roby, Northeastern University athletic director was the guest speaker for the evening. Roby praised and gave words of encouragement to the students for their achievements.

Saint Clement’s athletic director Shawn M. Thornton, along with other Saint Clement coaches, thanked the athletes for their commitment to the school over the years as they were presented the awards.

Over eighty sports athletes including cheerleaders were  honored with trophies and school citation presentations, as well as thirteen four year awards for students that played sports all four years while at Saint Clements.

Saint Clements principle Bob Chevrier presented athletic director Shawn Thornton an award for his dedication to the school throughout the years.

Thornton will be leaving Saint Clements School at the end of this school year after serving eight years as their athletic director for a position at Everett’s Pope John High School.
