While conducting surveillance in and around the Holiday Inn parking lot last Friday, members of the Somerville Police Department Drug Control Unit and the Cambridge Police Department Drug Control Unit observed suspicious activity by the occupants of an older model car that had arrived at the location.

Dennis DiCato, 28, of Lynn, was reportedly searching through the trunk of the car and behaving in a way that suggested to officers that he was waiting for someone. DiCato was approached and questioned, and was ultimately found to be in possession of heroin, police said.

The driver of the car, Marie Gaudette, 28, of Lynn, reportedly admitted to being in possession of heroin and stated that DiCato, her boyfriend, was there to deliver 8 bags of heroin, according to investigators.

Two other passengers, Matthew Graham, 25, of Revere, and Katelyn Antzak, 24, of Saugus, were also questioned. Graham reportedly said he knew that DiCato intended to deliver heroin at the scene, and a search of Antzak’s purse turned up a needle and syringe, as well as a liquefied substance, which Antzak admitted to being a heroin solution, police said.

All four individuals were transported to the police station and charged with various narcotics violations.
