A Cambridge man was charged with selling cocaine and heroin in East Somerville April 13 after he parked his Cadillac in a handicapped spot, police said.
Drug unit detectives allegedly watched as Tawan Dottin, 28, pulled into a handicap parking space at 167 Broadway outside Kentucky Fried Chicken and met Francis Palazzi, 47, and Tracy Dattilio, 32, of 103 Lowell Rd., North Reading.
Police said the location has been the scene of numerous drug arrests. Palizzi allegedly entered Dottin’s car for a moment before exiting.
Police allegedly found three bags of crack cocaine, two bags of heroin and $2,761 on Dottin. As he was being searched Dottin allegedly became combative and had to be restrained.
Palazzi was charged with conspiracy to violate a drug law. Dattilio was charged with conspiracy to violate a drug law and possession of a class C drug. Dottin was charged with assault and battery on a police officer, conspiracy to violate a drug law, resisting arrest, possession to distribute cocaine and drug violation near a school or park.
