Song For My Sister
(1925-2011)

I see an old film and remember
watching it with college friends;
an old pop song brings back
a girl I once dated–all
such mementoes stir memories
of people I have known.

But you, Jean. come to me
in sunlight or in shadows
any time you want to.
                           And always
I beg you to stay longer,
stay and hurt me with love.

— Robert K. Johnson
