Update:Green Line: Shuttle buses are replacing service between North Station and Medford/Tufts & Union Sq while yesterday’s derailment near Lechmere is investigated. Union Sq riders can use Bus routes 86, 87, or 91 to connect to shuttles or the Orange Line

Tuesday, October 1, during the evening commute, shuttle buses replace service between North Station and Medford/Tufts due to a derailment near Lechmere. Union Sq passengers can use Route 87 bus for alternate service. For updates visit https://www.mbta.com/schedules/Green/alerts

Cambridge Fire Department posted the following message on X.

Final update on the Green Line train derailment near Lechmere MBTA: Catenary power to the train was shut down, several patients were transported for non-life-threatening injuries. FD companies have now cleared from the incident.
