Celebrate back to school season by learning how to cook children’s favorite meals from around the world
To celebrate the back-to-school season, the Somerville Arts Council (SAC) and Nibble Kitchen are launching a new cooking class series, “Favorite Childhood Meals from Around the World!”
The classes, which cost $60/per person, will be held on Sundays starting on Sunday, September 8 and running through Sunday, October 13. Each class will feature a Nibble Chef teaching the class how to make their favorite childhood dishes, highlighting the cultural significance and preparation of each meal. Chefs from Bangladesh, Puerto Rico, Laos, India, Pakistan, El Salvador, and Colombia will offer their unique perspectives and flavors.
Participants can register for classes on the series’ EventBrite page. Additionally, SAC aims to offer four subsidized tickets for the upcoming class series. These tickets will be available on a sliding scale or by donation. For more information on subsidized tickets, please contact Daniella Maney, Nibble Kitchen Manager, by emailing dmaney@somervillema.gov.
