Gloria Mindock presented with Sam Cornish Award

On Sunday, August 11, Somerville Poet Gloria Mindock was honored with the Sam Cornish Award at the Longfellow House, Washington’s Headquarters National Historic Site in Cambridge.

Mindock is Editor of Červená Barva Press, Somerville’s Poet Laureate in 2017 and 2018 and an award-winning author of six poetry collections and three chapbooks. Her poems have been published and translated into eleven languages.

Červená Barva Press has published over 260 books. Five authors read from their books published by Červená Barva Press, helping Gloria Mindock celebrate the Sam Cornish Award. They are: Doug Holder, Denise Provost, Elizabeth Lund, Hilary Salick and David P. Miller.
