Somerville nonprofits are facing a harsh fiscal cliff as ARPA funding ends. Over a hundred full-time positions are expected to be lost.  The Somerville Foundation is stepping in to assist with a new major event September 6, 2024 in Davis Square and would like to ask for your support.

The Somerville Foundation (TSF) is a 501c3 non-profit formed seven years ago as the Somerville Education Foundation. TSF’s mission is to reinvest community growth resources in the people of Somerville. Recently, former Mayor Joe Curtatone has joined the Board of Directors to help grow the Foundation into a major institution in the community.  The Somerville Foundation invites you to attend the new hyper-local Davis Square food festival:

The goal of the event is to celebrate the return of fall, build local community, promote local businesses, and support local nonprofits. The event will take place Sept 6 from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m., 44 Day St, Davis Square. Restaurants who will be serving samples at the event include:

  • Dave’s Fresh Pasta

  • Redbones

  • Elm Street Taproom

  • The Burren

  • The Korean Restaurant>

  • Anna’s Taqueria

  • Five Horses Tavern

  • Davis Square Donuts & Bagels

  • Mike’s Food and Spirits

  • American Flatbread

  • Diesel Cafe

  • Opa Greek Yeeros

Join in for a hyper-local food festival showcasing the best food Davis Square has to offer. Support local restaurants and nonprofit organizations while having a fun Friday night.
