On 7/31/24 at approximately 5:23 p.m.,Somerville Police took a report regarding an armed robbery that occurred the day prior. The juvenile victim stated he communicated with a male known via SnapChat and agreed to sell him a pair of sneakers. The victim and his friend then drove to the meetup location and were met by two males who proceeded to enter the victim’s vehicle. Once inside, the suspects brandished firearms at the victims then took control of vehicle and drove to banks in Cambridge and Medford where they had the victims withdraw money. The suspects then drove the vehicle back to Somerville and exited. Prior to leaving the area, the suspects stole the victims cell phones, a pair of sneakers and a gold chain.
