Executive Director of the Somerville Museum, Stephanie Marlin-Curie

The Somerville Museum has announced Stephanie Marlin-Curiel as the new Executive Director of the Museum. Stephanie brings a wealth of experience from her role as Visual Arts Manager at The Umbrella Arts Center, where she oversaw gallery programming, managed artist studios, and curated public art initiatives.

A visionary in cultural planning and creative placemaking, Stephanie co-founded Arlington Public Art and played a pivotal role in establishing Arlington’s Cultural District. Her background includes a Doctorate in Performance Studies from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and she is a published author and ethnographic researcher focusing on cultural memory.

Stephanie is eager to collaborate on our museum’s interdisciplinary programming, connecting art with the rich history and diverse stories of the Somerville community. Join us in welcoming Stephanie as she embarks on this exciting journey with our dedicated Board, staff, and volunteers.
