A Message from the Somerville Democratic Party:

Tonight, the Somerville Democratic Party Executive Committee, which is made up of the Chairs of each of the 7 Ward Committees and the 4 city-wide officers, voted unanimously in a 12-0 vote to endorse Kamala Harris to be our party’s nominee for President of the United States. We have asked our Democratic elected officials in the city to join us in this decision and are proud to announce the following list of elected Somerville Democrats joining us in supporting Vice President Harris for the nomination:

As a party, we are proud of the enormous success of the Biden-Harris Administration and want to share our sincere thanks to President Joe Biden for his service as our
Commander-in-Chief. No administration has led more boldly on infrastructure, delivering the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law; worked harder to fight COVID and invest in our communities by passing the American Rescue Plan; or mended our nation’s judiciary by appointing hundreds of federal judges.

President Biden leaves behind a demonstrably transformative and accomplished 44 year legacy and Somerville Democrats thank him for his truly remarkable work. We now make it our mission to elect Kamala Harris and to defeat Donald Trump in November’s election.
