Kaleidoscope: Queer Visions is a call for art, sponsored by the Mass Cultural Council, the Somerville Local Cultural Council, and the Boston Figurative Art Center.

This is a call to the queer, creative community to reflect and create with the following questions: What does a queer future look like? What does a queer timeline feel like? What missed moments do you long for? What would queer liberation feel like in your body?

Submissions are requested by March 25. The event is scheduled to take place from

May 6 to May 11, with a variety of programming throughout the week, culminating in a day-long celebration on May 11 with workshops, an open mic, and more,

Things to note: Anyone who identifies with the queer community, including questioning folks or those who are not out publicly, is welcome to apply. In order to ensure a diverse range of representation and voices highlighted in this exhibit, we will be prioritizing submissions from QTBIPOC and disabled folks. Depending on the number of submissions, submitting unfortunately does not guarantee inclusion in the exhibit.

Questions? Concerns? Comments? Ideas? Want to get involved with organizing this project? They’d love to hear from you! Please reach out to kaleidoscopequeervisions@gmail.com
