Join Mayor Ballantyne in celebration of the Somerville Arts Council’s  Local Cultural Council grant season and awards. Meet and network with the 2024 LCC grant awardees, LCC review panelists, and Arts Council staff and board.

Each year in the fall, the Somerville Arts Council and community members review Local Cultural Council grant applications. This past fall approximately 35 panelists within 7 panels reviewed 155 applications with a total request of $510K. With the $53k from the Mass Cultural, and an additional $100k from the city, (and $18k in carryover) we are able to award $170,647 to 71 applicants—each of whom will serve our Somerville Community in 2024.
