Louise Sabella, a lifelong Somerville resident, Louise (Weezy or Lou Lou Bell) died at Mass General Hospital on January 4 after suffering a stroke on New Year’s Day.
She is predeceased by siblings Yolanda Fontes, Gaetano Sabella, Angelina Gill, and Rose Agostino. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nephews, and a great great niece, all of whom she treated specially, and all considered her their most favorite and fun auntie.
When she was able, Louise was active in the Council on Aging Senior Centers. She loved Bingo, Casinos, Scratch tickets, music, baseball games, the mayor’s picnic, and loved meeting kids who entertained at the Center. A devout Catholic, Auntie prayed for us all and supported many Catholic institutions.
She retired after working at Raytheon for over 40 years.
The last years of her life were spent at the Cobble Hill Apartments where she had many friends. She spent the last several months at the VNA REST HOME on Highland Avenue and was thrilled with the social life and caring staff at that facility.
We will miss our gregarious, generous, fun loving, big hearted, exuberant, caring, and overall phenomenal auntie forever.
At Louise’s request, services will be held privately.
Continuing with Louise’s kind, generous and caring nature, please consider making a donation in her memory to Rosie’s Place, 899 Harrison Ave, Boston, MA 02118 or online at www.rosiesplace.org.
