A Latinx Arts and Crafts Sale will take place at ROOTED Armory Café on this coming Sunday.

For the first time in Somerville, Nelson Salazar is hosting and producing a Latinx Arts and Crafts Sale at ROOTED Armory Café on Sunday, December 10, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

There will be three artists participating: Trash to Treasure (Consuelo Perez), ItemsByLes (Leslie Apanecatl) and Razalas Art (Nelson Salazar).

Consuelo Perez is Peruvian. Her art entails creating objects with recycled materials. When people first look at her work, they do not realize how they are made. However, once they see that they are made from ordinary household items that are not appreciated, they realize that they can give a second life to those items.

Leslie Apanecatl is a Latinx-Indigenous creator, focusing on jewelry and creating handmade earrings, bracelets, and necklaces.

Nelson Salazar is originally from El Salvador, and his visual art medium is stained glass.
