I’m William Johnson, a junior Mathematics major and Endicott college with a minor in Music. I am passionate about finding the creative connections between math and art. I started writing poetry as a form of journaling. However, my poetry professor, Daniel Sklar, helped me write more diverse poems.
William Likes:
William likes the color yellow,
The joy of play,
The way strangers look around when
Food falls from their mouth.
He likes the smell of hair,
The sound of music,
And the way light peers through
the leaves of spring.
He likes the feeling of wet sand,
The greek letter tau,
And the overwhelming feeling of
onfusion when you first look at a math paper.
He likes the taste of lemons,
The tails of sea otters,
And the satisfaction of finally understanding
the conflict between us, and why we
are the way we are.
He likes Windex and Expo markers,
And starring endlessly at the colors
in abstract art, recounting what it means to be human.
He dislikes some people
