The citywide election for the City of Somerville took place on Tuesday, November 7. A number of City Council seats were contested, along with a challenge for the Office of Mayor.
In the race for mayor, incumbent Katjana Ballantyne prevailed to win her second term, defeating challenger William Tauro with 13,592 of the votes, compared to the 3,010 garnered by Tauro.

Appears that the biggest winner in the Councilor at Large race is Blank. I recommend that we fill one councilor seat with an empty chair. It will be just as effective, as they all vote the same way, and save the taxpayers money.
Blank is any vote not cast that could have been cast. If you voted for only one councilor-at-large candidate, you cast three blank votes as well. In a real race with more people running, this can be a strategically wise thing to do.
