Support critical medical care for homeless pets awaiting adoption and shop for great stuff too

Kitty Connection, an all-volunteer non-profit dedicated to rescuing and finding safe, loving homes for local cats and dogs, will hold a Summertime Online Auction from Friday, July 21 through Sunday, July 23. Auction proceeds will go toward the cost of pre-adoption medical procedures.

“Kitty Connection currently has several cats in need surgeries and other medical procedures before they can be adopted into their new forever homes,” Kitty Connection President Marie Mazzeo said. “The funds we raise during the weekend of July 21 to 23 will help fund a much-needed eye surgery for a cat who was abandoned outside by his previous family, as well echocardiograms and additional procedures for others awaiting adoption. This weekend, take advantage of some great deals and help animals at the same time!”

Kitty Connection annually rescues more than 450 homeless animals and funds over 375 spay and neuter procedures for pet owners in need. Volunteers provide foster homes for animals until they are adopted, and Kitty Connection ensures that pets are spayed/neutered, tested for common illnesses, and vaccinated before they go to their new homes. Kitty Connection also provides community education and outreach about the importance of responsible pet ownership.

Kitty Connection’s Summertime Online Auction will feature a wide array of quality items for bidders and their furry friends. Bidding will open at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 21, and continue through 9 p.m. Sunday, July 23.
