Somerville Police Crime Log June 6 – June 12

Assault
On 6/8/23 at approximately 3:30 p.m., Somerville Police were flagged down by a male party in the area of 81 Broadway. He told officers that while he and his wife were waiting at a nearby bus stop, two males approached him and one of them brandished a firearm, pointed it at him and threatened to kill him. The male with the firearm was described as a white male, 5’5″, medium build, wearing a black sweater, dark pants and a black hat. The other male was described as a white male, wearing a blue t-shirt and dark colored shorts.
 

Residential Breaking & Entering
On 6/8/23 at approximately 10:33 a.m., Somerville Police responded to a residence on Calvin St for report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated she heard a loud bang then observed a male party climbing through her bedroom window. The suspect then fled the area after the victim yelled.
 
Residential Breaking & Entering
On 6/8/23 at approximately 10:21 a.m, Somerville Police responded to a residence on Lewis St for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he observed a male party in his kitchen. The suspect then left out the back door.
 
Residential Breaking & Entering
On 6/9/23 at approximately 9:30 a.m., Somerville Police responded to a residence on Marion St for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated someone broke into her apartment and stole her laptop case and loose change.
 
Commercial Breaking & Entering
On 6/6/23 at approximately 4:12 p.m., Somerville Police responded to a business on Mystic Valley Pkwy for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated two TVs were stolen from her storage unit.
 
Shots Fired
 On 6/10/23 at approximately 1:50 a.m., Somerville Police responded to 50 Middlesex Ave for report of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers located three shell casings on the road.
 
Assault
 On 6/11/23 at approximately 10:34 p.m., Somerville Police responded to Pinckney St for report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated while she was sitting at Symphony Park, she was approached by a female party who struck her in the face.
 
Assault
On 6/11/23 at approximately 2:33 p.m., Somerville Police took a report from a female party who stated while she was leaving her residence on Dover St, a group of young males on bicycles threw rocks at her.
