Felix Almendarez, of Chelsea, May 2, 2:46 p.m., arrested at Mt. Vernon St. on a charge of furnishing a false ID info to law enforcement, and on warrant charges of no inspection sticker and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Kelli Loranger, May 7, 9:34 p.m., arrested at Myrtle St. on charges of resisting arrest, assault and battery on a police officer, and violation of city ordinance possession of a dangerous weapon, and on warrant charges of resisting arrest, alcohol from open container, operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, and failure to stop for police.
On 4/21/23 at approximately 2:16 p.m., Somerville Police responded to 1374 Broadway for report of three kids picking on an older man. Upon arrival, officers found a group of juveniles yelling profanities with their fists clenched surrounding a group of three adult males. Officers spoke with the juveniles who stated two older males got into an altercation with them and they all began fighting.
On 4/24/23 at approximately 9:15 a.m., Somerville Police responded to Davis Sq. for an assist. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated while working at the Somerville Homeless Coalition, a female party entered the building to use the restroom. After being informed she is not allowed in the building, the female party threw a coffee mug at the victim.
Residential Breaking & Entering
On 4/23/23 at approximately 3:48 p.m., Somerville Police responded to a residence on Ossipee Rd. for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he observed his basement door open. Nothing was reported missing.
On 5/2/23 at approximately 3:35 p.m., Somerville Police responded to a business on Medford St. for report of two males that stole merchandise. Upon arrival, officers spoke with an employee who stated two males entered the store and demanded money. One of the males motioned with his hand to mimic a gun. The employee stated he did not have any money and the males grabbed various items then ran out the door.
Commercial Breaking & Entering
On 5/4/23 at approximately 5:49 a.m., Somerville Police received a glass break alarm from a business in Assembly Row. Upon arrival, officers discovered the front glass door was shattered and the front section of the store in disarray. It is estimated that over $6,500 of merchandise was stolen.
Residential Breaking & Entering
On 5/3/23 at approximately 11:12 p.m., Somerville Police responded to a residence on Cedar St. for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he arrived home and observed his door kicked in and his dog stabbed. A large amount of cash was reported stolen.
Residential Breaking & Entering
On 5/8/23 at approximately 9:18 a.m, Somerville Police responded to a residence on Brook St. for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he observed a male party via video surveillance walking around inside his property. Nothing was reported missing.
On 5/8/23 at approximately 6:00 p.m., Somerville Police responded to the parking lot at 434 McGrath Hwy. for report of a past assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated while cleaning his vehicle, a male party in another vehicle drove by him and demanded him to move. The victim and the male party then got into an argument. During the argument, the male party brandished what appeared to be a knife then left the area.
On 5/7/23 at approximately 1:25 a.m., Somerville Police responded to 622 Somerville Ave. for report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he is a security guard and while he was attempting to get everyone to leave, he was struck in the face by a male party.
On 4/18/23 at approximately 2:44 p.m., Somerville Police responded to 81 Broadway for report of a past assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated on 4/8/23, he left his house on Medford St and was confronted by a male party. The male party then got into a fight with the victim. During the fight, six other males arrived and started punching and kicking the victim until he was unconscious.
On 4/20/23 at approximately 3:04 p.m, Somerville Housing Police took a report from an individual regarding a stolen moped. The victim provided officers with a suspect description and shortly after, officers located a juvenile male matching the description. Officers then stopped the juvenile male and conducted a pat frisk on him. Officers then recovered a loaded firearm and baggie of cocaine under his shirt. He was placed into custody.
