The Center for the Arts at the Armory in Somerville, MA is excited to announce our annual fundraising gala Night in Bloom on Thursday, May 11. Headlining the event will be renowned balafon player, “djeli,” and NEA National Heritage Fellow Balla Kouyate, currently based in Medford, MA and originally from Mali. Guitarist Maurizio Fiore Salas will perform for the VIP hour, and DJ Saucy Lady will be spinning throughout the night alongside pop-up performances by students from Deborah Mason Performing Arts Center. 

VIP and General Admission are currently on sale. A Night in Bloom will showcase The Center for Arts at the Armory as a vital home for the arts in Somerville through compelling performances, recognition of cultural honorees, and delightful food by Nada Cart and beverages by Aeronaut.  

This year Arts at the Armory will be honoring three outstanding individuals based in Somerville:

Tickets are available on our event platform. VIP tickets are $100 and include an opening reception; general admission tickets are $40.
