Shawmut Design and Construction, DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners (DLJ RECP), Leggat McCall Properties (LMP), and Deutsche Finance Group (DFG) commemorated the steel topping off milestone at Building 2, 808 Windsor Street in Somerville, the second Class-A commercial lab building within the Boynton Yards 1.8 million square foot mixed-use life sciences and innovation community, on Friday, March 17.
Set to be completed in early 2024, the 370,000 square-foot purpose-built lab building will span 11 floors and offer state-of-the-art research space for emerging life science companies, four levels of below-grade parking, as well as feature community-based amenities and activated green space. With an energy-efficient and sustainable design, the building will achieve LEED Platinum certification.
The LEED Platinum building elevates the onsite experience with anchor amenities including a food emporium, performance venue and activated green space. The new Green Line Rail Extension (GLX) and private shuttles provide convenient connections to Kendall Square, Boston and beyond.
