August 6, 1957 – February 2, 2023
Jean Antoinetta (Reppucci) DeAmato, a former resident of Somerville and Medford, MA passed away at her home, February 2, 2023 in York, ME.
Jean was predeceased by her beloved husband Michael, her high school sweetheart, and is survived by her sisters Theresa Vignolo of Derry, NH and Diane Hysler of Eastport, ME; and her brothers Louis Reppucci of Derry, NH and John Repucci of York, ME; many loving family members, and too many dear friends to count.
Jean could walk into any room full of strangers and emerge with ten new lifelong friends. Jean and Michael were avid members of the Mystic Wellington Yacht Club, spending their happiest days on the water. Jean worked for many years in Somerville public schools, loving each child as if they were her own. In 2021 she officially “retired” from her job at McKinnon’s Meat Market to live with her beloved nephew Harlan in York, ME, where she was delighted to once more have a household to nourish with her love and her famous red sauce.
Visiting hours for Jean will be held, in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville, Friday morning from 9:00-10:30, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Clement Church, Somerville at 11:00. Relatives and friends invited.
