The City held a procession and memorial ceremony to recognize the 21st anniversary of 9/11. The procession started at Cedar Street and ended with a 9/11 memorial in Davis Square with the presentation and retiring of the colors by the Somerville Police and Somerville Fire Honor Guards. The speaking program was lead by Director of Veterans Services, Ted D. Louis-Jacques, followed by prayer by Father Paul Coughlin and reflective thoughts of September 11, 2001 by Mayor Katjana Ballantyne, Councilor At-Large Kristen Strezo and Ward 7 Councilor Lance Davis.
