Somerville resident wins Berklee City Music Scholarship

Britney Flores of Somerville is one of eight recipients of four-year, full-tuition Berklee City Music Scholarships this year. She has participated in Berklee City Music programming for three years, focusing on vocal performance.

Berklee City Music is a nonprofit program that delivers high-quality contemporary music education to youth from underserved communities at no or low cost. The Berklee City Music Network is an association of 47 community organizations that serve more than 55,000 students in the United States, Canada, and Latin America each year. Since its inception, Berklee City Music has awarded more than 250 four-year, full-tuition scholarships, totaling over $30 million.
