On Sunday, May 1, at approximately 10:15 p.m., Somerville-911 Communications Center received multiple calls for shots fired in the area of 480 Mystic Avenue. Upon arrival, Officers discovered 10-9mm casings in the parking lot at Central Convenience, located at 460 Mystic Avenue. Officers also discovered ballistic damage to windows at the rear of 7 Memorial Road where bullets entered a window of a bedroom where children were sleeping. There are no known injuries at this time or evidence of injuries. Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call the Somerville Police Department at 617-625-1600 ext. 7229 or leave an anonymous tip at somervillepd.com.

About 10:15 p.m. last night there was a report of shots fired in the area of 480 Mystic Ave. When police responded they found shells on the ground of that area. At that time, police called in a request for a police dog that detects ballistics and the auxiliary fire department to illuminate the area. The incident is being investigating, at this time no reports of injuries.
