A 64-year-old woman was found dead after an accidental fire Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities did not release the woman’s name.
Chief Kevin Kelleher said firefighters extinguished the fire quickly but large amounts of smoke were in the woman’s first floor apartment.

The fire is being investigated by Somerville Police, Somerville Fire and the state fire marshal’s office.
