East District Station under control

Police
officers at the Somerville Police Department East District Neighborhood
Station are currently on duty after a former attendant recently
retired. Until a replacement is found, uniformed police officers will
be there to attend desk duties and help people who arrive with local
neighborhood issues.

The East District Neighborhood Station is
one of two stations located in Somerville. The other police sub-station
is located in Teele Square. These stations are valuable to Somerville
citizens because it gives people an opportunity to talk to officers one
on one instead of just on the phone.
