This is an indoor, in-person event at Aeronaut Brewing in Somerville, MA where both Somerville Chocolate and Prophecy Chocolate are produced.
Somerville Chocolate: Somerville Chocolate was started in the spring of 2012 as a bean to bar chocolate CSA located in Somerville, Massachusetts. The central mission of the CSA is to involve people with the process of chocolate making by preparing multiple bar “harvests” (deliveries) that showcase variations on a particular aspect of the chocolate making process.
In addition to the CSA, Somerville Chocolate offers a selection of bars for purchase, either direct or through area specialty stores. Most of these bars evolved from past CSA harvests.
Prophecy Chocolate: Mateo has extensive experience in organic agriculture having worked on dozens of organic farms in the US and throughout South America. Mateo first learned how to make chocolate using traditional methods while living on a friend’s land in the the remote ‘Eyebrow of the Jungle’ region of Peru. Later, when he started importing cacao, he apprenticed with and learned more traditional European-style chocolate making from Eric at Somerville Chocolate.
Aeronaut Brewing: Our mission is to share the excitement and enjoyment of adventurous, inspired beer with our community. Aeronaut brings a scientific approach to traditional, emerging and undefined beer styles to create provocative recipes and brew them to high quality standards.
