After an encouraging start to the season, the Somerville High boys hockey team has now suffered two consecutive losses. Despite a solid effort by Dan Camara and Robbie Anderson, the Highlanders suffered lost to Matignon in last Wednesday’s non-league match-up. With the eight to five loss, the Highlanders are now at 2-2 overall.

“We’re a young team, and we have to tighten up our defense,’’ said coach Chuck Allen. “We have a lot of work to do and we have to find ways to protect the puck in our zone.”

Throughout the opening period, both teams continued to trade goals in the early going before the Warriors erupted for three consecutive goals en route to a 5-2 lead. After the Highlanders closed the gap, the Warriors secured the victory with three goals in the final period.

Offensively, the Highlanders were led by Dan Camara with two goals while Tyler and Robbie Anderson combined for the other three.
