The City of Somerville is looking for part-time multilingual community outreach workers to conduct surveys and collect community input on COVID-19 recovery and other public health–related initiatives.
The city seeks six adults and six youth (age 16 to 18) to engage with the community through a variety of outreach methods including but not limited to event tabling, community walkabouts, office hours, drop-ins at partner organizations and businesses, focus groups, flyering, phone calls, and door-knocking (door-knocking by adults only for select initiatives).
Adult community outreach workers will work up to 16 hours a week at $22 an hour. Youth community outreach workers will work up to 10 hours a week at $20 an hour. Verbal and written fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Kreyol, Nepali, or Mandarin is required.
