Somerville Police Respond to Assault
On 9/22/21 at approximately 2:50 PM, Somerville Police responded to the Capuano School for report of a juvenile male who shot an employee with a BB gun. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated while working on the soccer field, he was approached by a juvenile male. The victim and juvenile then engaged in a verbal argument that escalated to the juvenile striking the victim in the face then pulling out a BB gun and shooting him in the chest. The juvenile suspect then fled up Franklin St toward Broadway. The juvenile suspect was described as a dark-skinned Hispanic male, approx. 16 years old, with short hair, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt.
On 9/24/21 at approximately 10:30 PM, Somerville Police responded to Day St for report of a past assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with one of the victims who stated while outside cleaning, she was approached by two males and a female who proceeded to harass her in a threatening manner. The victim’s boyfriend then came outside and one of the male suspects struck him in the face. The suspects then fled in a vehicle. All suspects were reported to be white. One of the males was described as 5’11” and 6’1″ tall. The other male was slightly shorter and had a tattoo on his upper right arm. Both males wore black tank tops and had dark hair. The female was described as being just over 5’0 tall and having dark hair.
On 9/27/21 at approximately 5:30 PM, Somerville Police responded to 355 Assembly Row for report of a male victim who was assaulted. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated while parked on Foley St, he was approached a male suspect operating a vehicle that proceeded to throw food and a drink at the victim. The suspect was described as a black male in his mid-20s.
