Somerville Media Center offers a set of Free Digital Literacy Workshops aimed at expand digital inclusion with expert guidance on savvy smartphone use, better internet research, media production skills, graphic design, building a user friendly website, becoming a community journalist, deepening media literacy and critical consumption.

Their 2021 Digital Literacy program in partnership with Somerville Public Library is a grant funded project of “Skill Up Somerville.” All students will be eligible to receive digital badging credentials through the Skill Up Somerville program. SMC will also offer 10% off annual membership for attending 3 SMC “Skill Up Badge” classes and if students take all of the classes, they are eligible for a one year free SMC membership.
