Wow – interesting results. Catia and Erika pretty much had the same positions on everything and both seemed competent – I’d be happy with either, based on their descriptions. Catia has lived here 6 years and campaigned like a fiend. Erika moved here just in time to run for the seat and never even stepped foot in my neighborhood – all I got was a mailer from ORS telling me to vote for her. She won 61% of the vote. And over at the governor’s council race, a whopping 63% voted for change, ousting the incumbent from a job that likely only 1% of the voters could actually describe if asked, but for that same ORS mailer. I guess knee-jerk endorsement following is something we all engage in, regardless of political affiliation or level of education.
