Somerville will be limiting the number of in-store shoppers to no more than 107. Those waiting to enter the store will form a socially-distanced line outside the building.

It’s good Somerville had the presence of mind to set the limit for all stores at 107 people. Many lesser informed people would have chosen 108, which as we know would be a nightmare. 107 people in 7/11 is ok, but 108 scares me.

It’s fine for some to make sarcastic jokes about this kind of thing, but understand that although this is an inconvenience, it’s temporary. If everyone does at least what they’re asked to do while all this is going on, it will actually help everyone to stay safe.

I don’t like it any more than anyone else, but I know there’s a sensible reason behind it. The line does move fairly quickly, so you’re not going to wait too long.

It’s the attitude of some that it’s just a hassle, and they’re not going to do it. Maybe if those people wind up sick, or infecting a loved one, they will wish they had listened.
