Today is my last day with the City of Somerville. I can’t officially leave without saying thank you for making the last 13 years so memorable. By far the hardest part of leaving this job is the people I’ve met; you all are some of the most dedicated and talented people and I’m thankful to have had the opportunity to work with you.
I’m not going far; I’ve accepted a position with the City of Medford, so if you ever need anything, please look me up over there starting on 3/16!

This is going to be particularly difficult for me. For years Jackie has been calling my house and leaving me (and only me) little sweet nothings – a little reminder about snow, parking, road races – anything that might inconvenience me. Why she did this I do not know – I’ve never met her, but she clearly fancies me. Now I’ll have to rely on the news or internet or whatever it is the rest of you people have been using.
Good luck in your new position Jackie. Lots of great people in Medford and I know that you will be welcomed. It was always a pleasure to work with you on various projects, especially when crafting Connect CTY messages.
Wow, a huge loss for Somerville City Gov’t, keeping us both “in the news” with regular press releases, as well as aware of ever changing “internal municipal news,” through informative robo calls! You’ve been wonderful to work with Jackie on lots of historic initiatives, including our year long 175th Anniversary celebration. I look forward through your new position forging new collaborations, given that the communities share a lot of local history in common!
