UPDATE: the 14-year-old boy was found. 

The Somerville Police Department is searching for a missing 14-year-old boy, a city spokesperson said Sunday night. The boy was last seen on School Street around 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

He is described as a black male, about 5-foot-2, and was last seen wearing a black and gray hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and glasses. Police believe he voluntarily left the School Street area, but his family has not been able to find him.

He is not a Somerville resident and is not familiar with the area. Anyone with information should contact Somerville police at 617-625-1212.
