This fall, global sports brand PUMA donated sports equipment and uniforms to several athletic teams at Somerville High School. The donation comes ahead of PUMA’s upcoming 2021 headquarters move to Somerville’s Assembly Square, where it will unify its two offices, currently located in Westford, Mass. and Boston.

Newly outfitted teams include the school’s boys and girls soccer, basketball and golf teams. Beyond uniforms, Somerville High School also received balls, duffel bags and pinnies, as well as field decorations including tents and flags.

“As PUMA approaches its upcoming headquarters move to Assembly Square, we’re continuing to look for new ways to give back and engage with the local Somerville community. We have deep roots in golf, basketball and soccer, and are proud to support this next generation of student athletes with the equipment they need to look and perform their best,” said Bob Philion, President of PUMA North America. “We’re excited to become even more ingrained with the Somerville community as we get ready to call this vibrant city our new home.”

PUMA’s new headquarters, located at 455 Grand Union Blvd., will provide the company with five floors of office space totaling 150,000 square feet and room to grow its workforce by 20%. The company has operated a retail location at Assembly Row since 2014.
