A 20-year-old gangster wannabe was arrested Nov. 5 after agitating a crowd of 250 youths at a Glen Street function hall.

Darren Thornton, 20, of 392 Rindge Avenue, Cambridge, told police he was an “OG” and had tattoos to prove it as officers tried to clear the crowd. Thornton also bragged that he had been to jail, police said.

Several fights erupted in the crowd and police said Thornton was one of the main agitators.

Police were then called to the Burger King on Somerville Avenue for a crowd of 30 youths in the parking lot fighting. After officers spoke over a public announcement system to tell the group to leave, Thornton approached a police cruiser and made a lewd comment, police said.

He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
