A Waltham man was arrested Oct. 3 after he allegedly threatened a bouncer at a Union Square nightclub.

Francisco Pineda, 26, was bothering a female patron at Club Choices on Somerville Avenue when club staff tried to escort him out, police said.

Pineda turned towards the bouncer and pulled a knife out, police said. Witnesses said Pineda swung the knife at the bouncer.

Police found Pineda down the street talking on his cellphone. He was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and furnishing a false name.
