A Prudential research study discovered that fewer than two in 10 women feel “very prepared” to make wise financial decisions. Half indicate that they “need some help,” and one-third feel that they “need a lot of help.”

We want to change that. The Somerville Commission for Women (SCW) is hosting an event to Take Steps toward Financial Empowerment, Financial Literacy, this Saturday, April 14, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the Main Branch of the Public Library, 79 Highland Avenue.

No matter where you are in your financial journey, ladies, this event is for you. Please join us for a coffee discussion where we’ll have an open and safe forum to discuss financial questions most critical to women. There will also be experts from local credit institutions, the Somerville Community Corporation, and financial advisors to facilitate the discussion. Children are welcome.
