Somerville Police: Loaded gun seized in drug bust

Detectives recovered a gun and a variety of drugs in a raid on a Hamlet Street drug house Saturday, police said.

Police executed a warrant to search Christopher J. Federico, 21, and his home at 31 Hamlet St. and allegedly found Federico in his driveway selling OxyContin to Dennis Orellana, 23, of 353 Washington St.

Officers allegedly found OxyContin, cocaine and suboxene inside the home. They also found a loaded revolver under a bed, police said.

Christopher Federico’s brother, Steven, was found inside the home, police said.

Steven Federico, 20, of 31 Hamlet St., was charged with distribution of a class B drug, possession of a firearm, trafficking in heroin or morphine or opium, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, drug violation near a school or park and improperly storing a firearm.

Christopher Federico, of 708 Winthrop St., Medford, was charged with distribution of a class B drug, possession of a firearm, trafficking in heroin or morphine or opium, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, drug violation near a school or park and improperly storing a firearm.

Orellana, was arrested and charged with conspiracy to violate a drug law and possession of a class B drug.
