By William Tauro The Dante Aligaeri Society Building in Cambridge was the location where the Democratic Party Unity Event was held earlier Monday morning to support newly elected Senator Sal DiDomenico as the Democratic nominee for state senate. Governor Deval Patrick, Lieutenant Governor Timothy Murry and Congressman Michael Capuano as well as many other elected officials and democratic leaders were in attendance to rally around and show their support for Senator DiDomenico. |

Senator DiDomenico won the state senate election last month. It is the seat that former Senator Anthony Gallucio's once occupied after his recent resignation after a hit and run motor vehicle accident which led to his conviction, a probation violation and later to his incarceration.
Former State Senator Anthony Galluccio's mother and sister were also in attendance to show their support for DiDomenico.
