On May 6th, at about 10:30 p.m., a 21 year old female victim reported that she was walking on Main Street from Broadway nearing Moreland Street when she heard the sound of footsteps. She looked back and saw a man behind her. Less than ten seconds later this male subject grabbed her from behind and indecently assaulted her. The victim was able resist her attacker. She then ran to a safe location. When she looked back she saw her attacker running back toward Broadway. |
The suspect is described as a white male with a darker shade of skin. He seemed young, perhaps in his twenties and seemed to be in good shape. She said he was sprinting from the scene like a younger man. His hair was described as looking like "a fresh buzz cut hair style; neat and particular." The suspect's hair color was black or dark brown. The suspect was wearing shorts below the knee and a hooded sweatshirt.
Also on May 6th, shortly before midnight, a 30 year old female Victim reported that she was walking home from a pub in Ball Square near the Medford line by way of Broadway over the Ball Sq bridge When she left the Pub, the Victim became aware of a man who was walking a short distance behind her. Several times she looked backed, and the suspect appeared to have backed off. When she arrived in the vicinity of the Tot Lot on Franey Road, she was assaulted by the same male that she had noticed behind her. The Victim said that the suspect ran up from behind her, and attempted to indecently assault her. She screamed, and the suspect got startled, pushed her away and fled, onto Cedar St. towards Highland Avenue.
The suspect description is a white male 6 ft tall, thin build, approx 180 lbs, appeared to be young college aged, with dark cropped hair, a beard and mustache. He was wearing blue plaid shorts, blue shirt, and Keds type sneakers.
