Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), an academic community health system serving Cambridge, Somerville and Boston’s metro-north region, held its annual Golf Invitational on Monday, July 25, at the Oakley Country Club in Watertown.

The tournament successfully raised more than $118,000 to support patient experience of care initiatives, including addiction services and substance use programming.

CHA has raised more than $1 million to help fund projects and programming since the tournaments inception over a decade ago, including upgrades to the Maternity Suite and Whidden Hospital Emergency Department, strengthening digital communications with patients, and the purchase of video translation equipment to help ensure all patients understand their care.

“We are deeply grateful to all of our sponsors who made the event such a success this year. It’s heartwarming to see so many folks from the business community come out in support of CHA’s patients. In particular, resources from the event will be used for our ongoing commitment to mental health and substance use treatment,” said Mary Cassesso, President of the CHA Foundation and Chief Community Officer.

Top sponsors include C & W Services at the $7,500 level; Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Cataldo Ambulance and Professional Ambulance at the Silver level; and Anaesthesia Associates of Massachusetts, Bond Brothers, Mary Cassesso and Peter Miller, Cresa Boston, Epic Systems, Image Technology Specialists and Winter Hill Bank at the Bronze level. Additional funds were also raised through auctions at the event.
