Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan has confirmed that at approximately 6:30 p.m. tonight a passerby reported seeing the body of a deceased male in the Mystic River near the intersection of Shore Drive and Ten Hills Road in Somerville. State Police subsequently removed that body from the water.

It appears that the body has been in the water for an extended period of time.  At this time the death is not considered suspicious. No additional information will be made available pending the formal identification of the body by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
