A New Year In The Ville

A New Year in the Ville is upon us again
The City we love is thriving amen
The seeds we have planted are growing ten fold
Our future is bright the truth be told

My wish to you is your best year yet
A wonderful year I know we will get
As we reminisce on years gone by
Let’s not look back at what made us cry

Although the bad can outweigh the good
We learn our lessons as well we should
The year to come is ours to mold
Who knows the events that will unfold

All we can do is strive for the best
Good fortune and health is certainly our quest
We enter this New Year with high hopes and resolutions
I for one will not succumb to conclusions

This past year was bad for so many
Tragedies, sorrows and losses were plenty
If only we could change some outcomes of this past year
We would all be happier in life without fear

A New Year brings with it a clean and fresh start
But it’s up to each person to play their own part
Some will move on and some will stay in the past
Some will continue to do nothing but harass

But here in the Ville we have plenty of pride
There’s only so much we’re willing to let slide
A True Villen will always rise above the rest
Because it’s our tradition to be the best

It is my one wish to say goodbye to this year
With a positive attitude we can all persevere
Don’t look back now and wonder what, if, and why
Just focus ahead and let good karma apply
