State Rep. Patrician D. Jehlen will hold her state Senate campaign kick-off event on tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at Orleans Restaurant in Davis Square. 

Jehlen, who was endorsed by the Progressive Democrats of Somerville with 96 percent of the vote, is running for the seat vacated by the passing of the late State Sen. Charles E. Shannon Jr.
