Police file lawsuit against city, Mayor and Governor

    Several Somerville police officers filed a federal lawsuit July 27  because of a "wanton disregard for their safety" by the city of Somerville, Joseph Curtatone, Dorothy Kelly Gay and Mitt Romney.

    The lawsuit alleges the defendants, who also include former police chiefs George McLean and Donald Caliguri and current chief Robert J. Bradley, failed to warn the plaintiffs of "the known hazards" of the police station at 220 Washington Street.
