Election attracts more than just Senate campaigns

As voters make their way to the ballot box today, they will see scores campaign workers for elections aside from the one they are voting on.

Other campaigns will be courting those who vote today, said Zachary Newton, campaign manager for Rebekah Gewirtz, candidate for Ward 6 Alderman.

"If someone votes in a special electon on a rainy day in August, then they are likely to vote in the local municipal elections in November. Being out today is a good way to target voters and get the word out about your candidate," he said.
